The FCRCP has had a busy couple of weeks…from the Still Surfin’ event (pictures coming soon), to our first “community social” at the LA Club, to the Polish Platter dinner. And we show no signs of slowing down. Listed below is the tentative schedule for the rest of the year:
- 4th Annual “Heart & Sole” 5K run/walk or 5K run/5 mile bike (duathlon) will kick off the street fair on August 29th. Race forms and more information will be available shortly here and on our Facebook page.
- 4th Annual “Ultimate Street Fair and Family Celebration” is taking place on September 5th and 6th in conjunction with the Ford City Hoe Co. #1 VFD. A full schedule will be posted in the future, detailing the games, live entertainment, food/craft vendors, and activities.
- The Fabulous Hubcaps return to the 10th Street Station on Friday, December 11th.
- Ford City’s Frozen “Fantasy of Lights Celebration: Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” occurs on Saturday, November 28th. Save these dates to become absorbed in the spirit of the season and celebrate long running traditions while supporting local businesses.
Unfortunately, the “Salute To Our Troops” Car Cruise scheduled for May 23rd– in Ford City Memorial Park– is being postponed due to a conflict with another Cruise in the immediate area. However, please continue to send in photos* for the “Wall of Honor”, and watch for an announcement as to new dating on the event. Thank you for your understanding.
*Photos may be sent to FCRCP, Inc., P.O. Box 124, Ford City
Note: We are working with the Car Cruise schedule (THANK YOU, Dennis Gaggini) to re-schedule this event, most likely in the summer or early fall!
